The shipwreck

I haven’t blogged for a while because I have been enormously busy. I’ll get back to adding more in the middle of May.

I took my camera with me to the harbour this morning. The tide was low and a sea mist was rolling in and swirling around the rotting wooden hulls of the old wrecked ships on the mud flats.

This is probably my favorite photo of yours ever. And that’s amongst a LOT that I liked. Love the soft feel of the mist and clouds. My brain also finds a neat incongruity between that soft dreamy appeal and the conditions that probably caused the ship to ground itself in the first place. I’m glad you had time to get this shot!

I love the ethereal feeling the light, lifting fog gives to this image

You have found and rendered so many different levels and tones in the sea and the sky–even though it is nearly monochromatic.
