Have you been on one of my Bronze Basic Courses and feel like you could do with a refresher? Perhaps you did the course and then you got distracted by life and haven’t had the chance to pick up your camera. Maybe you just enjoyed getting out and taking some photos. Or possibly, you have some photography know-how and want to polish up your knowledge in some areas. This course is also suitable for those who have done the NCFE Level 1 or 2 courses.
What does the Refresher Course include?
This course will go over the basics of photography and take you up to the next level. We will cover:
Metering and metering modes
Metering compensation and selective expsoure
Composition and the rule of thirds
Depth of Field
Positioning yourself for the best shot
We will also include selective exposure and focusing and help you to find your way around your camera.
You will get a photography project and ongoing help with your questions answered.
The course will be based in and around the Amble area and it’s held outdoors, so will be weather dependent. (In case of blizzards, we will either meet in a coffee shop or postpone the lesson.) As with all my courses it is hands on and you’ll be taking lots of photographs. There is no writing involved.
You need either a Bridge, Mirroless (CSC) or DSLR camera.
A tripod will be useful, but not essential.
Yes. I try to make the courses accessible to everyone.
I restrict the courses to six participants. I run the courses even if only one person signs up.
