Are you already able to compose a great photo and choose the settings for the right exposure?
Or, maybe you came on one of my Bronze Basic Courses and feel like you want to take your skills further
Then this course is for you.
This Silver Intermediate Course is also suitable for those who have done the NCFE Level 1 or 2 courses.
This course will refresh the basics of photography and then take you up to the next level. We will cover:
Advanced metering and metering modes
Metering compensation and selective exposure
Hyperfocal Distance and manual focus
Shooting for black and white.
The golden section
Discovering your camera and lens limitations
Choosing the right lens for the right photograph.
Shooting in the gold and blue hours. (Evening photoshoot, date set by mutual agreement)
Night shoot (Again by mutual agreement)
Raw and image development
You will get a photography project and ongoing help with your questions answered.
The course will be based in and around the Alnwick area and it’s held outdoors, so will be weather dependent. (In case of inclement weather we postpone the lesson.)
As with all my courses it is hands on and you’ll be taking lots of photographs. There is no writing involved.
You need either a Bridge, Mirroless (CSC) or DSLR camera.
A tripod will be useful, but not essential.
Yes. I try to make the courses accessible to everyone.
I restrict the courses to six participants. I run the courses even if only one person signs up.
Note, this course overlaps the May bank holiday and, although I can deliver the course that week, we may postpone that session to accommodate course participants if necessary.
