Description

Who is this one-to-one training course for?

This one-to-one training for you! I have an ever-increasing number of clients who want personal training, but spread out over several weeks.

Maybe you came on one of my Bronze Basic Courses and feel like you want to take your skills further.
Possibly you have completed the NCFE Level 1, 2 or 3 courses and are already to grips with the basics of exposure and composition but want to explore your creativity.
Or, are you are an absolute beginner and want to learn at your own pace over several weeks?
On the other hand, you could have specific things you want to learn.
Perhaps you want to take your photography to the next level, but don’t really know what that means.
The course is built around your needs, whatever your current skill level or experience.

What does this one-to-one course include?

Each week, over 5 consecutive weeks, you will have a 1½ hour session.

You will get a photography project and ongoing help with your questions answered.

Handouts

Email or Messenger support during the course.

Ongoing help through my clients’ Facebook group.

As with all my courses it is hands-on, and you’ll be taking lots of photographs. There is no writing involved.

When is the course held?

On the one-to-one courses, we are not tied to other participants’ availability, so we can agree mutually convenient times. If you prefer, not every lesson has to be held on the same day of the week or at the same time. For example, you may want to include a sunrise or a nighttime session.

Where is the course held?

The course is usually based in and around the Amble area, and it’s held outdoors, so will be weather dependent. Other locations are available and may incur travelling costs.
In case of inclement weather we postpone the lesson.

What will I need to bring?

You need a camera with a fully charged battery and empty memory card.
Other equipment may be needed depending upon what you want to learn.

I have mobility restrictions or health issues, can I come on the course?

Yes. I try to make the courses accessible to everyone.

Can my friend come with me on the one-to-one course?

Yes, you can choose to come along with a friend, and there is a reduced rate for the second person.

As I write this I have one lesson still remaining before I complete this course. Over the last six weeks Ivor has taken me from fumbling with the controls on the back of my camera to feeling far more confident and able to adapt to changing light and focus without losing the shot! We have covered a huge range of topics from under exposure to over exposure, fill flash, isolating subjects, differing light, Fibonacci and so much more. At all times Ivor’s patience and unhurried manner has coaxed photographs from me and my camera that I had previously doubted I was ever going to be capable of.
I’m now looking forward to stepping out on my photographic journey and finding my own subjects and being able to produce images I can be proud of.
If you want to move from snapshots to images you can be truly proud of get in touch with this man!
