Sunrise Over the Sea Photography Course

I love running my Sunrise Over the Sea Photography Courses as dawn is the best time of day for photography. As autumn makes the dawn time more accessible, it’s the perfect time of year to get those perfect sunrise images.

What is the Sunrose Over The Sea Course

This sunrise over the sea course comprises two workshops that help you get the best out of your camera as the sun peeps over the horizon.

The first hour-and-a-half session is from 2:00 pm on October 1st and is all about planning the shot, and how to set your camera to capture great exposures before dawn and afterwards, when you will be pointing the camera towards the sun. Then, for the second part, we meet at 6:20 AM, an hour before sunrise.

Participation Details for the Sunrise over the Sea Course

This two-part group course is open to a maximum of 6 people and requires a minimum of 2 to run.

There is an expectation that you will be able to use your camera in aperture priority mode. However, before the course begins, I will send instructions on some of the simple settings you will need to find in your camera. If you are stuck with locating these, I will send more precise instructions. If you are an absolute beginner, I would advise coming to one of my Basic Courses first. 

The workshops are weather-dependent but are only cancelled if it is raining. Furthermore, clouds and fog can make interesting shots at dawn, too.

You will need a DSLR, mirrorless, bridge, or advanced compact camera. Additionally, bring a tripod if you have one, plus clothing and footwear suitable for a chilly morning on the beach.
